What motivates me??????
A challenge, giving it a go!
I was about 9 or 10 years old when I tried my first challenge. I thought I could fly and was going to test my theory. I climbed onto the 16-foot roof of my father’s shed with a sheet, tied to my ankles and wrists. With no hesitation I jumped off, confident that I was able to fly. I gave it a good go, but it didn’t work. Luckily my father hadn’t mowed for 6 months or more so I landed on a big pile of grass, nothing was broken except the theory that I could fly. Now a days, there is a lot more planning and I consider the consequences before I ‘give it a go’.
My life experiences are my motivation. Throughout my childhood I suffered many incidents that no child should endure including invasive abuse I received in the Navy as a young teenage lad. (Read more about my story).
This does not define me as a person. This motivates me as a person.
I once read that the world needs more inspirational stories and I hope that following my adventures provides just that. A story that will provide hope to others and show that the image of the ‘abused’ is not a whole life wrecked.
